As ever, despite having a very busy year, we have retained our focus on our charitable initiatives and the great work of LandAid, the property sector’s charity. For LandAid Day, we hosted a ‘pizza & pints’ pub quiz held at TowerEight HQ on Great Portland Street. While perhaps not being the most original of initiatives, this simple approach went down a treat with clients and staff alike and raised more than £1,000.
Much harder work was in store for Loren Purdy and Holly Black who undertook the notorious 24 Peak Challenge. This was an arduous test set against some of the UK’s most inspiring landscapes. The clock is ticking throughout the day with one of the rewards being the view from Scafell Pike, England’s highest mountain. Loren and Holly not only completed this serious challenge – both with blisters and bruises! – but also raised £1,277 for their great efforts.
Given the TowerEight’s reputation for being a sporty bunch, there were other athletic endeavours that have contributed to the total of £2,547 raised so far this year. Rob Lees’ undertook a sponsored LandAid 10K run, which he completed in 48:03.
