Cumming is providing project, construction, and cost management services for Facebook’s new Frank Gehry-designed West Campus.

This 430,000-sq.-ft., single-story, open-plan complex consists of engineering and support staff offices, and a 1,500-space parking garage. Sustainable design features, including a nine-acre green roof, are also being considered in the plan. The building is being constructed on a 22-acre parcel formerly occupied by Tyco Electronics.

Located on the same site where the previous James Simons Elementary School existed, the new school accommodates 500 K-6th graders and is designed to expand up to an 8th grade facility. The front facade of this 1919 building was preserved and renovated to keep the historical neighborhood presence of the original school. The 56,000-sq.-ft. building has 18 teaching stations, an art/science room, music room, computer lab, multi-purpose area, and media center.

The 349-room Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort sits on a five-acre site between Johnson and Michigan streets. The 18-story resort spanning 845,000 square feet includes a 1,056-space parking garage, public parking spaces, convention and ballroom space, retail stores, restaurants, a full-service spa and fitness center, a dual-lane wave rider, and other amenities. Plans also included a 1,600-sq.-ft. bar and grill on the Intracoastal Waterway featuring dock space for boat access and water taxis.
