To bring the first Standard Hotel in Europe to market in London.
This project involves converting a commercial office building, previously occupied by Camden Council, into a 250 bedroom hotel, restaurant and bar with ancillary spaces
We led a team to establish the potential of the existing property, whilst also looking to translate the aspirations of a traditionally American brand into a new and improved product for the UK market.
TowerEight successfully delivered The Standard in July 2019
TowerEight was appointed as project managers, Employer’s Agent’s and Contract Administrators on the first Standard Hotel outside of America.
This commercial office building situated in King’s Cross previously occupied by Camden Council was converted into a 266-bed hotel with three restaurants and a bar with ancillary spaces. The 10th floor restaurant is accessible from inside but also from the hotels external bright red lift and houses Chef Peter Sanchez-Iglesias’ restaurant, Decimo which combines the Spanish cuisine of his family with his love of Mexico.
In summer 2020, The Standard’s outdoor terrace will open to reveal 360-degree views across London.
