TowerEight’s touch rugby team were crowned champions at the Inaugural Meinhardt Charity Mixed Touch Rugby Tournament in aid of Homeless Rugby CIC.
The event, held in Battersea Park on October 27, was held on behalf of an inspirational charity set up by those involved in rugby. It supports the homeless and helps to re-build lives through being involved with the sport.
Our team – including Kate O’Donoghue, Bryce Tryhorn, Tom Williams, David Wallace, Sebastian Betton, Oliver Wiseman, Ian Jones, Matt Pike and Orlagh Byrne – won a competitive tournament against teams from across the City. We will definitely be looking to defend our crown next year!
