TowerEight wins new Mixed-Use scheme

20th Oct, 2015

TowerEight, the leading project and cost management consultancy has been appointed to work on a new, mixed-use, residential-led scheme at Canary Wharf.

The mixed-use element of the South Quay Square scheme will provide 206 serviced apartments over 12-storeys with an additional 2-storeys of commercial office space and a public café on the ground floor.

TowerEight was involved from the feasibility stage and assisted with procuring the project team, managing the planning process, appointing the main contractor and delivering on-site works.

Adam Mursal, Director at TowerEight, said: “The development of South Quay Square will introduce a world class mixed-use element to the Canary Wharf Masterplan. TowerEight’s experience in high-end residential and luxury hotels will ensure that we introduce a strong service element to the scheme.”

The project is currently in progress and is due for completion Q1 2018. “The project has presented some unique challenges particularly the design of the facility. We are now successfully utilising an existing steel and concrete frame which was previously damaged in 1996,” explained Adam Mursal.

“This is just the kind of world-class project that we are now winning at TowerEight because of our cross-sector expertise and commitment to delivering value to our clients.”
