A very proud moment for us at TowerEight!
We were invited by Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) Children’s Charity to present a cheque of £67,520, which was the total raised by the Whitbread London team’s Three Peaks Challenge.
Every day, 619 children and young people from across the UK arrive at GOSH. Every day, doctors and nurses battle the most complex illnesses, and the brightest minds come together to achieve pioneering medical breakthroughs. And every day is a chance for you to make a difference.
About The Challenge
The National Three Peaks challenge involved climbing the three highest peaks of Scotland (Ben Nevis – 1,345m) , England (Scafell Pike – 978m) and Wales (Snowdon – 1085m) within 24 hours. The total walking distance is 23 miles (37 km) and the total ascent is 3064 meters (10,052ft). The total driving time between all of peaks is 462 miles.
The sore knees, lack of sleep and total of 10,000 ft elevation climbed was all worthwhile to have raised this incredible amount of money. Thank you to those who kindly donated to such a deserving cause, and a massive well done to the team for bravely taking on the challenge.
